Honorary Texas PTA Life Memberships
Texas Life Memberships are one of the highest honors that may be
presented to individuals for outstanding service to children and
youth. Life memberships are awarded by local, council, district or
state PTAs to worthy individuals. In 1987, the Texas PTA board of
directors developed the criteria for awarding an Extended Service
Award (ESA). The ESA honors those individuals who have been actively
involved in PTA for at least 10 years and who have already received
a Texas Life Membership.
